1. What is laser scanning and how accurate is it?
Laser scanning captures millions of data points per second to create a high-resolution 3D model of a building or structure. Our scans are accurate within millimeters, providing highly reliable data for floor plans, renovations, and modeling
-
2. Do I need to close or clear the building before scanning?
Not always. While cleared spaces result in cleaner scans, we can often work around existing furnishings and ongoing operations. We’ll work with you to determine the best time to scan with minimal disruption to your workflow.
-
3. What deliverables will I receive from a scan?
We typically provide point clouds (in .e57 or .rcs formats), 2D floor plans (PDF/DWG), and Revit or CAD-based 3D models. We can tailor deliverables to your specific software or project needs.
-
4. Can I use your scans and models directly in my architectural design process?
Yes. Our deliverables integrate seamlessly with common platforms like Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, allowing your design team to work confidently from precise as-built data right from the start.
